Pietro Arosio
"In Antonio Tacchini, I recognised an extraordinary person: deeply in love with design and product, with a rare ability to instantly grasp how to bring them to life."
Pietro Arosio, born in Lissone (Milan) in 1946, trained at the research centre of a company specialising in the production of metal furniture for communal spaces. From this experience emerged the design philosophy that has guided his entire career as an industrial designer, which began in 1972 and was already recognised in 1983 with the Casaviva d’Oro award. He has collaborated with artists of the calibre of Ugo Nespolo and Joe Tilson, and some of his works are now part of the collections of the Victoria and Albert Museum in London and the Design Museum Die Neue Sammlung in Munich.
Pietro Arosio’s design stands out for a careful balance between functionality and emotion. His design philosophy explores new materials and technologies with meticulous attention to detail, in a constant search that goes beyond form to create products that are both aesthetic and functional, capable of fostering a deep connection with those who use them.
